THIRD PARTY UNIVERSITY VERIFICATION
In any scientific endeavor third party verification is critical. Following extensive research on the equations and having several colleagues review the data the University of Southern Indiana was contracted to provide independent third party verification on the mathematics of the Thermal Wall Technology. Associate Professor of Engineering, Dr. Brandon S. Field, conducted an analysis to validate the calculations and assess the potential application of the Thermal Wall Technology. Also conducted was a one-dimensional, transient heat flux model to show the effect of storing thermal energy in the concrete walls and how one-sided ICF walls will react when subjected to these models. The results were essentially the same as the original calculations performed. There was an approximate 2% difference as the university’s more robust model had the ability to calculate the internal heat flow lag time through the concrete.
